A: The admission requirements for non-jupas application are the same for all engineering programmes. According to the University’s admission website:

Applicants should have successfully completed:
a) at least one year of undergraduate study at a recognised university; OR
b) a course of study leading to the qualification of associate degree / higher diploma

As you have not completed the higher diploma course, you are not yet qualified. We suggest you to refer to the following website and check the other special situations for non-jupas applicants. Maybe, you fit in with one of the requirements.

HKALE:

For 2nd-year entry applicants, we will also consider them for 1st year entry if it is deemed more appropriate. In that case, there is no “queueing” to the end. We will treat them the

EE高考方面的收生要求如下：

CSE的入學要求包括：

HKCEE:
Good grades in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and two other science subjects

HKALE:
(I) AL Pure Mathematics or one AL science subject; AND
(II) Any other one AL subject OR any other two AS science subjects

所以按此要求，你符合了會考的數學科，卻不符合會考中有「另外兩個理科」，及高考有「2AL理科」或「1AL + 2AS理科」的基本收生要求。

Thank you for your interest in our Engineering programmes. Basically we welcome students applying for our programmes from different bands. However, of course higher priority will be given to those who put our programmes in Band A. Therefore, we always advise applicants to put down the programmes they are most interested in Band A, or even in the first three choices to stand a higher chance of admission.

The purpose of an interview is to offer a chance to the department to know more about the candidates, and to let the candidates know more about the programmes. In fact not all candidates will be invited for interview. Students who are not called for interview will still have
chance to be admitted. Normally an interview does not specify any marks, but the department might consider to give extra credit to good candidates as their discretion.

不過還需一提，不少入讀計算機工程或計算機科學的同學都有一定的電腦知識，甚至在中學時學習過編寫程式，為了能追上其他同學的進度，免得學習太過吃力，我們也鼓勵你空餘多了解這方面的知識，為將來有機會入讀作好準備。

中大對申請者的會考成績要求，是要在同一次會考中獲最少七科合格，當中必須包括兩科語文科。如你在第一次應考中已獲七科合格，第二次會考成績將不會被計算在內。但若你第一次不獲七科合格，則會考慮你第二次會考的成績。在這種情況下，是不會因重考而扣分的。
