20th Anniversary Apps Design Competition

 

Objective:

To create innovative, fun, and engaging apps to celebrate the Faculty’s 20th anniversary.

Eligibility:

-   Registered undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty. Both full-time and part-time students are welcome.
-   Participation by teams of individuals is allowed. A team should consist of no more than four individuals. 
-   Multiple submissions by an individual or a team are allowed.   

Rules:

-   Software platform: Android or iPhone
-  
Submissions may be any kind of software tools or games on these platforms 
-  
Submissions must have a theme on celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Faculty.
-  
All submissions must be original and do not in any way infringe any third party’s right.
-  
The Faculty will have the full rights to keep, make copies, modify, and distribute to the general public, the source and executable codes of the winning apps, at a fee or free of charge..
-  
Contestant maybe invited to demonstrate their apps on real devices or simulators.

Panel of Judges:

Members of the Faculty’s 20th Anniversary Celebration Organizing Committee + three invited IT experts

Prizes:

Three winning apps from the CUHK Engineering Students Group will be selected. Each winning team or individual will be awarded an iPhone4 (16G).
 
Two winning apps from the Secondary School Students Group will be selected. Each winning team or individual will be awarded an iPhone4 (16G).

Result announcement:
