Prof. Jianwei Huang Elected as IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer

Prof. Jianwei Huang from the Department of Information Engineering was elected as an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer for the years of 2015-2016. The Distinguished Lecturer program is an IEEE wide efforts of recognizing engineering professionals who help lead their fields in new technical developments that shape the global community.

Prof. Jianwei Huang leads the Network Communications and Economics Lab in the Department of Information Engineering, focusing on the interdisciplinary research among communications, networking, and economics. He has over 190 publications in top international journals, conferences, and books, with a total of 4500+ Google Scholar citations. His research results have received 7 Best Papers Awards in international venues, including the 2011 IEEE Marconi Prize Paper Award in Wireless Communications from IEEE Communications Society and IEEE Signal Processing Society. He has co-authored four books: "Wireless Network Pricing," "Monotonic Optimization in Communication and Networking Systems," "Cognitive Mobile Virtual Network Operator Games,” and "Social Cognitive Radio Networks". He has served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Communications Society Technology News, Chair of IEEE Communications Society Multimedia Communications Technical Committee, and Vice Chair of IEEE Communications Society Cognitive Network Technical Committee.
