Both the Faculty Curriculum Committee (FCC) and the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee (FTLC) are chaired by the Associate Dean (Education).
The FCC comprises the Chairmen of the Department Curriculum Committee (DCC) of all five constituent engineering departments. While the Programme Director of the Biomedical Engineering Department will be invited to attend the FCC meeting should there be any BME items bring discussed or under review due to its multi-disciplinary nature of the programme.
The FTLC comprises the Chairmen of the Department Teaching and Learning Committee (DTLC) of all five constituent engineering departments or its delegate.
Due to the migration from 3-year curriculum to the 4-year curriculum in year 2012, the Faculty of Engineering has adopted the broad-based admission and all year-1 students are required to follow the common year-1 curriculum. All such courses are named as faculty foundation courses and they are managed by respective Subject Panels.
