Department of Computer Science and Engineering Organizes ACM-ICPC Asia Hong Kong Regional Contest

The 2016 ACM-ICPC Asia Hong Kong Regional Contest was held during November 5-6, 2016, as one of the Faculty of Engineering 25th anniversary celebration events.  The ACM Programming Contest is an annual international event with a long history.  The Hong Kong Regional Contest, hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, attracted a total of 59 teams to the university campus.  After an exciting, challenging and mind-blowing match of five hours, team "Wood Cube" from the Fudan University won the Championship as well as a place in the World Final through the regional contest.

The opening of the contest was officiated by Dr. David Chung, the Under Secretary of Innovation and Technology, Hong Kong SAR Government, and also Prof. Joseph Sung, the President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, who congratulated and presented prizes to the winning teams at the Award Ceremony.
