A student group of nine spent a week in Beijing during 5 – 11 July 2015, during which they visited Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) and Yao Class, Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences of Tsinghua University and also explore the city of Beijing.

In MSRA, the students were introduced a number of projects including Body Sensing, 3D Indoor Map and Mobile App Testing. CUHK Alumni also gave a sharing on the internship programme and their work in MSRA.
Our students sat in a class titled “Physics of Information” with Yao Class students and they found the course very challenging and inspiring. They were especially impressed with the hard work and positive learning attitude of Yao Class students.

The student group also had a chance to visit some famous historical site such as the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. They all had a great time in this fruitful trip.
